AL-Tawakol For Steel Fabrication & Galvanization is the steel arm of Al-Tawakol Group — a family-owned Egyptian industrial group founded in 1975, with roots reaching back to Fratelli Gila, a trading house established in 1892.

Al-Tawakol Group is a family-owned business founded in 1975, when the Tawakol brothers — Mr. Lotfy Tawakol and Mr. Ramy Tawakol — acquired Fratelli Gila, an Italian trading company established in Egypt in 1892. The sellers' one condition was that the business pass to another family in business; more than 45 years later, it still runs on that same family commitment.
From those trading roots the group expanded — first into electrical panels and lighting, then into steel, galvanization, renewable energy, real estate and distribution. Today Al-Tawakol Group operates across Egypt in partnership with global names including Schneider Electric, ACWA Power and the International Finance Corporation.
Al-Tawakol for Steel Fabrication & Galvanization
The group's steel and galvanizing experience runs back more than 25 years. In 2019 that expertise was consolidated into a dedicated company, with purpose-built factories in 10th of Ramadan City that bring fabrication and corrosion protection through one gate and one quality system.
We fabricate high-voltage transmission towers, telecom towers, lighting poles, high masts and custom steelwork on modern CNC lines, then hot-dip galvanize them in-house to ASTM A123 — 6,000 t/month of galvanizing and 2,000 t/month of fabrication, on production facilities being extended beyond 50,000 sqm.
Heritage
An Italian trading house is founded in Egypt, becoming a leading local representative for international brands.
The Tawakol family acquires Gila with a vision to expand it into a leading regional industrial firm.
The group establishes its first electrical power-panel factory in Cairo, later becoming a Schneider Electric partner.
Al-Tawakol NTT begins manufacturing lighting, a business unit now spanning indoor, outdoor and underwater ranges.
The group enters solar PV, going on to develop 200+ MWp across Benban Solar Park and Sharm El-Sheikh.
The dedicated steel company is established — telecom towers, high-voltage transmission and hot-dip galvanization.

Opened with a 12.50 × 1.50 × 3.50 m kettle — among the deepest in the Egyptian market — and 6,000 t/month capacity.
CNC processing of angles and beams for communication, signal and power transmission towers. 1,000 t/month.
14 m sheet-bending line handling plate up to 12 mm for street poles, high masts and palm towers. 1,000 t/month.
